This is where Arizona goes to ski!

Located on the scenic San Francisco Peaks in the Coconino National Forest, the Arizona Snowbowl is just a few hours from Phoenix. This cool mountain oasis offers a range of challenging terrain for both skiers and snowboarders, with over 2,300 feet of vertical drop and 32 scenic trails that cover 127 skiable acres. Our desert climate means we enjoy lots of sunny days and fabulous skiing conditions.

The Arizona Snowbowl boasts some unique and spectacular scenery; after all where else can you ride a lift and see the North Rim of the Grand Canyon? And the outdoor opportunities don’t stop at the ski resort. The Snowbowl is situated in the backyard of the Kachina Peaks Wilderness, where you can enjoy the best in Arizona cross-country skiing, skijoring, or snowshoeing. The Flagstaff Nordic Center, located just a few miles down Highway 180, provides the very best in cross-country terrain.

There’s 2 feet of new powder up at Snowbowl. Check out today's ski report.

We have absolutely the best learning terrain in the southwest.

Snowbowl caters to the family skiing experience with lesson plans that emphasize having fun while learning to ski or snowboard.

Kids can enjoy our popular SKIwee, MINIrider, Ridge Runner, or Ridge Rider programs; we also offer group and private lessons for all levels. Two of our chairlifts serve the renowned Hart Prairie beginner area, which covers 50 acres — this is where Arizona learns to ski and snowboard.
