HELPFUL TIPS FOR MOMS AND DANDS FOR THE SKIWEE AND MINIRIDE PROGRAMS (AGES 4-7)

Plan Accordingly for Lesson Meeting Times:

  • Plan to have your 4-7 year old child/children at the Children's Center no later than 9:30 AM.
  • Rental equipment included in the lesson package is provided in the Children’s Center.
  • If your child will be attending the Ski & Ride School, parents are required to stay at Snowbowl for the duration of the lesson in case of emergency.

Food Plans:

  • Try to plan for a good night’s rest the night before, good meals the day before and a full breakfast the morning of lesson.
  • Hydration is very important. Changes in altitude can be tough on children, but being properly fed, rested and hydrated will help lead to an enjoyable experience.
  • Lunch is only provided for the full-day SKIwee Program.  Please indicate any dietary information at check-in.

Be Prepared for Weather:

  • Children will need waterproof jackets, pants and gloves (mittens are preferable for younger children); goggles or sunglasses with UV protection; sunscreen of at least SPF 15.
  • Please label each article of clothing or gear sent with child/children.  We are not responsible for any lost articles of clothing or gear.

Saying Good-Bye for the Day:

  • Please inform child/children that they will be away from you the duration of their lesson.
  • We recommend that you say your good-byes quickly at check-in and let the staff work their magic. Children tend to transition much faster once parents are out of sight, both in the center and on the slopes.
  • We encourage parents to watch all lessons from a distance; please don’t call out or distract child in lesson.
